I Am Proud by Soleil Socrates (A Poem of Hope!) I am proud of who I am
Who I love, and what I stand for.
 I am GAY
I am a LESBIAN
I am BISEXUAL
I am a TRANSGENDER 
I am QUEER
 Therefore I say,
"I am proud, it's nice to meet you."
 
So many hate us, 
and I can only say that: They are jealous!
 
 Like the great MOTHER MONSTER said:
"YOU ARE BORN THIS WAY"
 You ARE born this way, And who are they to tell you otherwise.
 
Who are they to tell you who NOT to love, and WHOM you should love.
 THAT IS YOUR CHOICE, AND YOURS ALONE.
 Do NOT let someone tell you different, because their lying.
 
It is WRONG to turn away when people call you names.
 NAMES that could help you decided whether you  LIVE or DIE.
 It is NOT WRONG to be PROUD. So stand tall and say it LOUD.
 You do realize if someone turns you away, that right there my friend is...
DISCRIMINATION!
 The biggest sin in my book.
 
 And to all who may think I am going to...
  
Lonesome and Loveshe was a hard worker.
even with her simple job as a broker.

however, a girl like her had no time.
and honestly, that was just fine.

but one day her life changed unexpectedly,
just a tiny change in her life really.

a beauty with big green eyes and tan skin,
had her wondering 'where have you been?'

she doesn't always become so lovestruck;
that was dramatic, and made her want to upchuck.

yet, a girl like her was falling head over heels,
making her head spin faster than a pinwheel.

the beauty with no name continued to roam her thoughts,
invading them at every moment - checking into their time slots.

but she realized how lonesome
